About this event
Fifteen editions of international filmmaking in Tangier
The Tangier Film Festival (TAFF) holds its 15th edition from 11 to 14 November 2026. As a meeting point for Moroccan and international film culture, the festival brings fiction, documentary and animation to audiences while supporting filmmakers, distributors, agents and professionals interested in the circulation of independent work. The organisers' FilmFreeway listing directly confirms the event dates.
Competition and awards
The programme accepts features, fiction shorts, documentary films, animated works and animation shorts. Dedicated entry categories also exist for Moroccan short films, documentaries and feature productions. The published award rules mention the Golden Cave Best Film honour, alongside distinctions for direction, screenwriting and other aspects of filmmaking, depending on the competition section. Entries closed on 30 June and the notification date was set for 20 September 2026.
Festival venues
Organiser-listed venues include Cinéma-Théâtre Roxy, Centre Ahmed Boukmakh and the Cinémathèque de Tanger (Cinéma Rif), with additional spaces mentioned. The complete film selection, cinema-specific screening timetable and visitor access rules have not yet been confirmed through a programme for 2026; these venues should not be interpreted as confirmed locations for particular films.
