About this event

To celebrate the 170th anniversary of Moscow’s State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian House in Rabat presents ‘Treasures of Russian Painting’, a panel exhibition featuring reproductions of works from the museum’s collection. These are photographic reproductions rather than original paintings on loan. The programme introduces audiences to important Russian painters, including Ilya Repin, Isaac Levitan, Viktor Vasnetsov, Vasily Surikov and Ivan Shishkin, drawing attention to the variety of artistic approaches and the history of Russian painting. The Gallery traces its origins to 1856 and the collecting activity of Pavel Tretyakov. The first presentation runs from 2 to 14 November 2026 in the foyer of the National Theatre Mohammed V, Avenue Al Mansour Addahbi, Rabat. The exhibition may be visited during the theatre’s opening hours. No specific daily timetable or ticket price was published by the organisers. It then moves to the Russian House at 12 Avenue Annasr for a second presentation from 16 to 30 November. Source: https://tm5.ma/spectacles/; Russian House: https://t.me/maisonrussearabat.
