El Koudia Media Library – Marrakech

El Koudia Media Library, in Marrakech’s Guéliz district, was inaugurated on 28 July 2025. The opening report describes children’s and reading areas, as well as rooms for meetings and workshops.

Books and cultural exchange

These functions distinguish the library from a venue used only for events. When requesting a visit or proposing an activity, explain the audience, purpose and format. Facilities described at inauguration are not guaranteed to be available for every request; confirm access and booking arrangements with the team.

Planning a visit or research enquiry

Arrangements differ for reading on site, consulting a particular document, accompanying a child or attending an activity. Explain your needs before travelling. For research, prepare the author, title or subject; for a group visit, ask whether an appointment and supervision are required.

Access to collections and activities

• Confirm opening hours and any closure periods.
• Ask about membership, borrowing and on-site consultation.
• Check rules for copying and photographing documents.
• Consult recent announcements for workshops and meetings.

Attending an event does not automatically provide library membership. The existence of a documentary collection does not mean every item can be borrowed. Fragile and heritage material may have specific consultation requirements.
