FOL Theatre Casablanca

## The FOL association in Casablanca’s cultural history FOL Theatre is located at 16 Rue Moussa Ben Noussair in Casablanca’s Gauthier district. The theatre belongs to the Fédération des Œuvres Laïques, an association historically connected with community education, artistic activity and social solidarity. Present in Casablanca since the early twentieth century, the federation was re-established in 1947 after wartime disruption and later occupied a villa on Rue Moussa Ben Noussair. The performance hall was added as the site developed. ## A twentieth-century auditorium Casablanca’s official visitor information describes a historic theatre auditorium dating from the 1950s and offering approximately 380 seats. The hall can accommodate drama, concerts, dance and community programmes. Beyond performances, the federation has organised music, dance, visual arts and theatre workshops for younger and older participants. ## Recorded events and repertoire In 2026 the venue is listed for performances including Moroccan Aïssaoua music, live comedy and concerts. Published programmes show that each event can have a different organiser, ticket price and booking channel. The theatre’s cultural life is therefore documented through individual productions rather than a single permanent repertoire. ## Practical information Address: 16 Rue Moussa Ben Noussair, Gauthier, Casablanca.
