About this event

« The Future That Was » spans fifteen years of Mehdi Sefrioui’s practice across photography, installation, textiles, archives and artificial intelligence. Family narratives, colonial archives and vernacular knowledge become material for questioning how images shape memory and how we imagine futures. By combining traditional techniques and digital media, the exhibition opens a conversation about historical representation and storytelling. Opening 12 November 2026 at 5:30 pm at Le Lieu Commun, Institut français Marrakech. Free admission; Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am–6 pm, through 23 January 2027.
