About this event
About the event
Artist Oualid Lazrak connects medieval Islamic optics with contemporary visual technologies in an art-and-research exhibition about how images are formed. Inspired by Ibn al-Haytham and Arabic scientific traditions, the project examines the relationship between light and matter, photography, sensors, algorithms and artificial intelligence. Through photographs, sculptures, installations, video and interactive devices, visitors are invited to consider the hidden processes involved in seeing and creating images.
