About this event
A platform for the next generation of filmmakers
The 11th International Film School Festival of Tétouan (FIDEC) will run from 7 to 12 December 2026. Organised by the BIDAYYAT Association and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of Tétouan, with national and international partners, the festival showcases short works from film schools, universities and institutions training students for moving-image professions. Its mission includes fostering exchange among students, teachers, professionals, researchers and audiences.
Who and what the festival showcases
The 2026 regulations accept films produced since September 2025, across fiction, documentary, animation and experimental forms, with English or French subtitles where needed. Filmmakers from international film schools may participate. Although official eligibility rules and dates have been published, the selected films, screening times and session-by-session programme are not yet available from the verified organiser page. Earlier-edition films must not be mistaken for the 2026 line-up.
Prizes and exchanges
A jury drawn from film and cultural professionals will award the Grand Prix, Special Jury Prize, Best Documentary, Best Fiction, Innovation Award and Human Rights Award. Selected filmmakers may be invited to take part in encounters with international guests during the festival. Additional educational activities may be announced separately.
