Jean-Luc Godard Screening Room – Tétouan

## Venue and facilities The **Jean-Luc Godard screening room**, often listed as « Salle J.L. Godard », is the **Institut français de Tétouan's film and performance venue** on Rue Chakib Arsalane. Named after filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, it hosts cinema, director conversations, experimental sound and audiovisual work, talks and interdisciplinary programmes. It provides an alternative cultural screening environment alongside the city's commercial and heritage cinemas. The room belongs to the institute and is not a separate legal organisation. ## The 2026 programme On **8 April 2026**, the cinema hosted Hicham Lasri's black comedy **« Thank You Satan »**, with the filmmaker in attendance for a discussion. **« Game Night »**, scheduled for **7 and 28 November at 7 pm** as part of **Novembre Numérique**, uses the large screen for collaborative video games and interactive storytelling; these two sessions are advertised as free, while other screenings may be ticketed.
