About the event
Two acclaimed Moroccan short films share the screen. In « Chikha », directed by Ayoub Layoussifi and Zahoua Raji, 17-year-old Fatine in Azemmour must choose between preserving her mother's aïta performance tradition and a future with her boyfriend Youssef, who rejects that artistic heritage. Saïd Hamich Benlarbi’s « À la recherche de l’oiseau gris aux rayures vertes » follows Sellam on an enigmatic search across the Atlas Mountains. Together, the films approach identity, storytelling and the cultural landscapes of Morocco, and have been recognised at major festivals.
