In « Cinq Regards », filmmaker Karim Debbagh returns to Tangier to revisit the Moroccan circle surrounding American writer Paul Bowles. Using 16 mm footage shot twenty-five years ago, he explores the recollections of writer Mohamed Choukri, artist Mohamed Mrabet, long-time driver Temsamani and companion Boulaich. Their stories present a more complex, locally grounded memory of an internationally known literary period. The documentary was selected for the 2026 Marrakech International Film Festival.
