About this event
Historian David Colon gives a talk titled « Infodemic » at the Institut français de Marrakech, examining the mechanisms of disinformation. Social platforms, conspiracy theories, false news and artificial intelligence are changing how people receive information and take part in public debate.
The talk places these issues in a longer history of propaganda and information manipulation, exploring the actors behind deceptive narratives, their distribution and their democratic consequences. Thursday 10 December 2026 at 7 pm, Institut français on route de Targa. Free admission.
