Morocco: Views from Yesterday and Today — Marrakech Photography Exhibition
The Maison de la Photographie in Marrakech explores more than a century of photographic representations of Morocco, from early documentary images to contemporary approaches.
The Maison de la Photographie in Marrakech presents “Morocco: Views from Yesterday and Today” through 31 October 2026. The exhibition spans more than a century of photographic representations of the country, bringing late-19th-century images into dialogue with more recent practices and showing how visions of Morocco shift across periods, authors and visual sensibilities.
Portraits, everyday scenes, architecture and traditions form a visual narrative in which documentary photography, memory and contemporary creation intersect. The exhibition is particularly relevant for visitors interested in Morocco’s social history, visual culture and photographic heritage.
